Hungarian-born stage and film actor. Vintage 5”x7” black and white, matte-finish, character still photograph in a vampire role. Bears a lengthy, bold dedication and signature of both Lugosi and his wife of many years, Lillian. Reads: To the sweetest people, the Cliffords, in remembrance, Bela Lugosi & Lillian. Professionally double-matted in black and deep green tones along with a vintage reproduction litho print poster from the 1931 film Dracula. Encased in museum UV filter glass and a very high-end carved wooden frame. A spooky and visual delight! The finest Lugosi piece we have ever put together. While we generally avoid such adjectives, this is a superb investment piece worthy of any American film collection. Some ten years ago, a similar signed photograph was selling for $950.00 without any professional conservation. The provenance on this signed photograph is impeccable. It appears to have been in a photo album for years as the ink is still fresh and there are no surface imperfections to the photograph.
